The Rope Skipping Federation of India is responsible for the promotion of Rope Skipping as a sport in India.

The general perception among people is that rope skipping is basically a schoolgirl's recreation activity or something that is used by sportsmen as warm -up before an exercise routine. We will prove otherwise.

ROPE SKIPPING FEDERATION OF INDIA (RSFI) will introduce you to the International standards/rules of the SPORT of Rope Skipping. Rope Skipping is known as "Jump Rope" in USA and "Nawatobi" in Japan and it is promoted and organized by the Governing World Body of FISAC - IRSF (Fédération Internationale de Saut à la Corde / International Rope Skipping Federation).

The intention of the Indian governing body RSFI is to introduce and implement FISAC rules of the sport into the country through workshops, camps and tournaments. Rope skipping as a Sport officially came into existence in the year 1996 with the formation of FISAC - IRSF as the governing body of the sport.

Rope skipping involves different skill sets based on which points are awarded during competition by judges. RSFI, which will give you a new perception to the sport of rope jumping. Participants will be introduced to Single Rope Freestyle skills. A general idea of Double Dutch, Wheels and Team Events will also be given.

What was previously a realm of conditioning or recreation for people has now emerged as a sport in the truest sense of the word. Co-ordination, conditioning, balance, exciting skills are the main ingredients to this physically demanding new sport.
